I am an Oracle Certified Professional (11g, 10g and 9i), author, application developer and currently work as a database administrator for Fiserv. My work includes capacity planning and database design. I don't claim to be an Oracle expert. Just a guy who has worked with Oracle for several years that tries to share what I have learned. My other interests include various programming languages and drums.
The content found here is presented as a series of guides to allow you to find and perform common Oracle DBA tasks as quickly as possible. Assuming that you understand the Oracle database fundamentals the material is like check off sheets on steroids.

Quote of the Week
Question Authority Oracle is constantly changing. Just because it worked a certain way in an earlier version does not mean it works that way now. As Tom Kyte says, "Things change, expect that. Everything can (and should) be proven. Make sure you know what you are talking about. Use the scientific method or you risk losing credibility."
