Thanks for the alert. Wonderful album. Superb production with consistent sound. Tribute albums don't come much better.

Excellent write up. I’ve been listening to the Stones track for a week, but didn’t know the album came out today. Excellent Friday news.

I’m sitting here in Madison WI on a beautiful evening watching Sonny Landreth ripping up the slide guitar. Slide Gumbo! No one is better!!!

Still in the process of writing it - but I'm shooting for late next year.

It's a fun tribute album - Marcia Ball and Jimmie Vaughan both in fine form and Jon Cleary is very soulful. Lucinda's Release Me is the weakest cut and a bit of a mistake ie the song is so famous by better known artists than CC. Wish there were a few more songs in French.

"Release Me" was a surprise, I do admit, but it plays well into the swamp pop side of things.

A short but sweet single from those Stones! Who would'a thought that the band would pull that out of their bag of tricks in such nicely done fashion? Thanks again for the enlightenment/back story. Wonderful job once again...
