Viva Satellite was my fave of his too. Back in my radio days I am Too was playing on AOR, and I loved spinning it. Such a great git-drums driver. And the break is so tasty. Plus, "I wanna hit this town till it's teeth come out." That's about where I was with the town I lived in at the time. Depth, grit, talking to me. And the segue into I Am Two kills it. What better? Ear candy for sure, and tip of a great iceberg. I'm sadder than I would have guessed at the news of his death. Thanks for posting this.
The way he blended storyteling with social commentary was masterful. That Garth Brooks Beer Run situation must have been frustating, but his response showed his wit. The Purple Versions seem like the perfect way to preserve not just his songs but the stories behind them.

Thanks for reading and yes, I used to spin “I Am Too” on the air as well…it was one of the great “shoulda-been” hits.

Perfectly put.
Sad day.
I am devastated 💔 today as most of us are. I have been a Todd devotee for 15 years. Rest in Chaos, my old friend.
Dammit. Way too soon.
